Numenera Jade Colossus 2025-09-14

  • Yuzu uses her Travel Bubble Cypher to enter the field and pull us out without being affected by the time dilation
  • We use a winch that is attached to the front of the bus to help pull k'Mort out of the field.
  • k'Mort and Carl are still feeling woosy so they head inside to rest in the bus
  • I look at the people still in the field and recognize a man named Freemunt
  • Freemunt thinks it's December 43, 119,299,281,819,198,283
  • Next we pull out a guy in a white suit named Jorbis Wagglefront. He says he hired some adventurers to take him on a tour of the Colossus but apparently they pushed him into the field. Oddly it was the same group of people that were traveling with Freemunt

  • Next we pull out Sekara Ferrer who was traveling with her husband
  • Next we grab Totor Ferrer who tells us the crystal burst up from the ground in front of them about 200 years ago
  • Freemunt owes us a "favor in the future"
  • Totor offers us 64 Danner. It's an old currency that isn't used anymore
  • We pull out the next guy who is kicking and screaming. He's being very rude and apparently was shoved in as a punishment for killing people 5 years ago
  • The last guy seems to be dying so we shove him back in so that someone more knowable can save him in the future
  • Since the crystal shifted the pink teleportation circle is no longer under the influence of the time dilation field so we go back a room to the projection of the colossus body parts. We see hands with 6 or 10 fingers, eyes and even the "face" of the colossus
  • We use the pink teleportation disk and warp around to the other side of the time dilation field
  • I dig up some 2 Multicolored marble-sized spheroids, 4 pieces of yellow putty, and 3 Chunks of white super-cold material that steams from some alcoves in the walls of the next room
  • We head down another chamber and this time find another crystal like the one before but it is white this time.
  • I walk up and touch the crystal which immediately implodes into a small white pellet of white synth. Upon examination it is a Protective Servant Cypher
  • 3 adventures appear in the disc transport complaining about how we already touched the crystal. Yuzu looks around feigning ignorance.
  • according to them they teleported from the "inconsistent stone" room

PROTECTIVE SERVANT
Level: 1d6 + 2
Usable: Synth pellet (thrown, short range)
Effect: Pellet inflates into a humanoid shape about the user’s
size. It is a level 3 creature that can understand the
verbal commands of the character who activates it. Once
activated, commanding it is not an action. The servant can
make attacks or perform actions as ordered to the best of
its abilities, but it cannot speak.
The servant operates for 28 hours, unless the user is attacked
before that time, whereupon it “hugs” the character that
activated it, stretching to completely cover the character’s
normal skin, adhering and conforming to the character’s
body shape. This coating doesn’t impair the character, and
in fact grants the character +1 to Armor and an asset on
Might defense tasks for up to one hour
