Numenera Jade Colossus 2025-03-23

  • k'Mort and Yuzu get stung by one of the fish and pass out
  • Old man is fishing up into the air, his name is Broden Ridgewall
  • He gives some directions to get out: Head west to yolvak droppings and fight or take 2 left 2 right always heading down
  • Ludin heads up an inclined hall lined with human vats that are overgrown with a blue fungus. Most are cracked open
  • The last one is with smoke and a humanoid seems to be inside. Ludin prys it open
  • A small mouse droid like thing comes rushing down the hall raising a siren. It rushes past Ludin further down the hall
  • Inside is Carl who was put in there to be saved for later as a meal. He is 3ft tall, mostly brown with eyestalks, very lanky. Wearing regular clothes, green headband with bows one each eyestalks
  • 3 more little robots speed past
  • Carl scans the blue mushroom and learns that its an invasive species called Fukoo. Its a poison that for each hour you are exposed to it ages you by a whole day. Its not from the Jade Colossus
  • Carl tries to cook it with his heated water gun. The mushroom contracts then explodes out a cloud of spores
  • We head further down the western path, passing 3 splits in the road and always taking the left path.
  • We find some Yolvak droppings and a pile of 3 bodies. Further down the path there are a few crudely designed huts
  • Carl uses his ability to look through one of the hut's walls to see a Yolvak banging on a box of some kind so we sneak past while he's distracted
  • 100 yards down the hall there are huts that seem to be built on the ceiling. Ludin tosses a rock and find that gravity seems to shift partway down the hall
  • Ludin ties off a rope so that they can climb down through the transition.
  • Carl catches Ludin as he looses his grip while climbing down
  • While searching some deserted Yolvak nests we find that they seem to be abandoned
  • We sneak through some other lightly guarded sections of the Yolvak colony.
  • We exit the colossus into a rocky cavern that is well guarded by Yolvak. They seem to be mostly focused on the main entrance to the cavern
  • Ludin grips a midnight stone and wills it to behave like a firecracker and throws it back down the hallway they came out of to lead the Yolvak away from the cavern entrance
  • Carl and Ludin rush outside into the waning daylight and try to hobble off towards town but up ahead is a floating vehicle blocking our path
