Numenera 07-14-24

  • It is DanA's birthday.
  • We track the hognose Yoshi's trail. Eventually, it comes to a stop and we see humanoid footprints. Both sets seem to disappear.
  • Tadej viciously tracks the trail and figures out that it is Seraphina.
  • The group finds a monocle nearby, an AetherGaze. A file within the item states the following: Ekko Spectre candidate #54 survived marking the project's first success. There is also a town called Anhight, and they are trying to get a candidate elected to Enthait Poison Eater. The AetherGaze also has a open mic that may be spying on us.
  • Tubora salvages the AetherGaze and gains two Synthsteel.
  • Logan looks for clues around the portal for where it heads. Using his scan with heat glasses, he sees there is a disruption to time in the area, revealing the portal's general area and showing that it is easier to use portals.
  • Suddenly, we hear a metallic vehicle moving near us, eight metallic legs are moving with a cylinder. It is approx 300 ft away and other figures are walking below it -- covered in fur and walking on two legs. We attempt to hide.
  • A loud voice says "We have guests, prepare the tea!"
  • It turns and moves quickly, accidentally crushing Logan a bit and he takes 4 might damage.
  • The creatures below the spider are actually tied to the machine. They open compartments below the spider and begin setting a table and making tea. We are celebrating Fozzie Bear's 1st birthday. Fozzie was created by the spider lady -- Alyssa.
  • We talk to Fozzie a while. He wants to join us in the search for Ozzi, so a drone-like thing comes down from the spider to provide power to Fozzie.
  • Fozzie wishes to follow us and find his cousin Ozzi. He uses his birthday wish to reopen the portal where Yoshi and Seraphina went into.
  • We jump through the portal and enter into Seraphina's laboratory. Logan and Tubora accost her in the lab. Yoshi points his cannon at us.
  • We enter combat and Yoshi grabs Logan. Fozzie tries to use shock Yoshi but fails. Tadej seriously injures Yoshi, causing him to drop Logan.

  • Tubora slices through Ozzi's connections on the table.

  • Logan has gone 1 round with his "Countermeasure" cypher.
