Inside the scroll, the return of the black-bone bride. States that the bride is that of sowiks, and this group are hired to retrieve the body.
Potentially a mother and father both fighting to try and retrieve the daughter? No, Tubora rolls an intellect roll to see and it is just rival tasks, no relation.
We see flowers that are usually purple but these are white. The petals feel waxy and stiff, almost artificial.
Tubora's intellect check succeeds and sees that the flowers are real, just weird.
As she is looking at the flowers, a head begins to emerge from them. A man jumps out of the middle of the flowers.
He is traveling between the purple flower bases using the tendrils. The center of the flowers are buttons.
Travel has time between it but seems instantaneous. You have to know where you want to go, and use it only in daylight.
He shows us what order to press the buttons in to use it. 10 seconds to get in the center and then transport.
We now know the sequence to press them and travel. Just need to know the general location and description.
Tadej uses the matches to start a fire in the shelter.
Tubora spots something crawling in the shelter, about the size of a football.
Suddenly, Logan appears in the doorway. A spider lands on his head in the doorway.
We fight the spiders.
After the combat, we rest.
Tubora begins to input the flower sequence in the morning and we travel.
We arrive near the village from the portal usage.
The village has a smooth, gray tower in the middle, village built around it and a 1 ft. deep, 6 in wide moat filled with wire.
No one is around when we arrive at the village.
We enter the large building in the center. 50 people in mourning there.
The greathall has a large box containing several android heads -- 5 of them.
As we look around, we spot an older gentleman favoring his left foot.
Named Oveeryou, he says all of these faces are from her. She died. Strangers took her body from there. Wearing black robes, they left with her recently.
Black robed members are part of "the Convergence."
Body is 8 ft. tall, they dragged it out of town, leaving a trail behind to follow.
Oveeryou is part cyborg. Tubora offers to try and heal his leg. She was not able to find anything or improve his leg.
