Dnd Notes 09-03-23

The Grand Plaza Hotel

  • We enter the western side of Thentia
  • We charter a gondola to bring us to a nice hotel (The Grand Plaza Hotel), Gintonio points out a nice provision shop and magic item shops and other info about the city
  • We cross a very crowded plaza, seems to be overflowing with people
  • The snooty hotel manager ignores Tazlin but Bram is able to get us a few rooms.
  • Jimmy the bellhop excitedly helps Bram with his Mandolin
  • The rooms are very nice
  • We all take a bath together to not smell like shark guts
  • We send our clothes out to get washed and get measured for some new clothes. Some very fancy clothes with gold trim come back
  • We head to Ritalia Curios to stock up on some magic items
    • Bram buys a Bag of Holding
    • We bought 10 potions of healing 2 potions of Frost Giant Strength and 3 Alchemist Fires as a group
    • Tazlin buys a Ring of Water Walking and a 300gp diamond
    • Sold 650gp worth of gem stones (162 each)
  • We establish that a 3 finger tap on the shoulder means to "message" them
  • We head to the clock tower where a Nimbrali air ship is docked at the top of that only we seem to be able to see
  • We climb the stairs to find 2 knights of the flying hunt who recognize us and tells us that the captain is waiting for us
  • We see Ser Geoffrey who we had met in the capital
  • We show Geoffrey the rod we got from the Lich's chamber. He uses a strange device to contact Empress Ameria to get it identified
  • We also show Geoffrey the Potentia Crystal who takes it and gives us a chest of 2000pp
  • Ameria appears and tells Geoffrey to give us another chest of 2000pp
  • She says the rod is a key of some nature and that we should hold onto it
  • Ameria suggests that we hire the pirates to sail us into the south since the more reputable factions will be to cowardly to sail into Prime territory
  • Geoffrey tells us about the local politics and some of the local pirates
  • Tazlin stays back to spar with Geoffrey to give him some tips while the others head back to the hotel
