  • We talk and decide to go to Raften. Raften follows a school of marlin, that is how we can find it. We travel at 50 knots towards the location.
  • A dark mass begins to bubble in front of us. It is hundreds of octopus.
  • Carey turns into a giant octopus and talks to them.
  • Neif wants to create octopi of the same size. He summons more next to all of them on the ship.
  • Tazlin throws a few off dozens of feet away.
  • Bram mass suggests they all leave.
  • We make it to Raften and arrive at a port. They have a garden and library now on Raften.

  • The receptionist tells us about the place.

  • (bored) Welcome to Raften, the famous floating city. Please keep in mind that we are a bartering community, and do not find value in coin. Please place any and all rift-origin materials on the counter. We will happily store them in a safe location below deck, and will bring them back to you upon your departure. Thank you for your cooperation, enjoy your stay within the City on the Waves, please proceed down the staircase behind me. Don’t forget to visit some of our must-see locations, such as The Verdant Voyager: a stunning garden on the ocean, or The Sanctum: the largest seaworthy library in all the known planes. If you’d like to give back to this wonder of the world, feel free to offer supplies to the individual at the forward end of this ship. Thanks, and have a pleasant stay.

  • The fish near the receptionist flashes with colors to find what is in people's bags. They are looking for rift items.

  • Someone on the boat is lecturing a crowd about rifts and the evils of them opening. Rift Keepers are trying to keep them open.

  • He says there are many near Neverwinter. Waterdeep. Calimport.
  • These keepers have necklaces to control rifts opening and closing. - so it is claimed by the religious nut.
  • Claribold runs the plant boat.
  • Roberta Books runs the library sanctum.
  • Claribold talks about Time Cops to Nief.

  • Jenna is stuck in a tree
  • a tree starts sparking, lighting shoots into the sky from the ground, it opens a portal in the sky and creatures start pouring out. A group starts running out of the forest to form a circle
  • Moist is Russian.
  • We head to Raften
  • We spot a large bubbling dark mass which appears to a bunch of octupi linked together like a rat king. Some of them land on deck
  • CeeCee transforms into an Octopus and talks to the others to figure out what happened to them and why they are on the ship
  • we help the octopi off the boat
  • We dock with the massive metropolis of Raften
  • Tazlin tries to ask for info about the rifts and is given a standard spiel about entering the city and the nearest attractions but says that we have to leave any rift items at the front desk
  • Tazils bags glow brown when scanned by the "rift fish" since he's from the Beastlands. This alarms the greeter b/c that means Tazlin came through a rift but the CeeCee convinces them to let Tazlin through anyway. Neifendel's bag glows all sorts of colors but this apparently is fine
  • There's a preachers warning the people about the evil Rift Keepers who thinks the rifts are a gift from the gods to join the realms together. They gather near Neverwinter, Waterdeep and Calimport apparently. They might wear special necklaces
  • We talk to the owner of The Verdant Voyager who points us towards Roberta Books who is collecting about the rifts. Tazlin vows to come back and cast Plant Growth for 8 hours to help the growth on the boat for the next year
  • Neif asks around for someone he met last time he was here. Apparently he was taken by the Time Commandos
