Dnd Notes 06-12-22 Ivory Roses

  • Valerian finds himself trapped in the secret room after the bookcase closes. There is a small hole and looking inside he sees a small open hand. He puts his hand inside and does a secret handshake with it
    • Slide it, bump it, shoot it
    • He learned this handshake while growing up in an orphanage. It didn't belong to any gang or anything. Was just used by troublemaker kids for fun
  • Amity finds a secret compartment at the bottom of the chest as well containing two pouches
    • Pouch A: Contains a bunch of solid black precious gems
    • Pouch B: Bites her hand
  • Wilfred quickly lights the pouch on fire with his torch
  • Valerian starts searching for Mirabelle but struggles to find her
  • Amity finds some clothes to wrap her hand before trying to open a chest covered with some kind of corruption. When she struggles to open it she just smashed the chest with her mace as the clothing that had touched the corruption starts to disintegrate
  • Inside there is a stone bust that is glowing surrounded by more corruption
  • She picks up the statue and shows it to Wilfred who recognizes that some sort of evil magic was attempted to be cast on it
  • Valerian hears some combat sounds and tries to save Mirabelle. The door is locked so he starts trying to hack the door down with his axe
  • Amity hears something rustling on the floor below so she takes up a defensive position near the stairs
  • Valerian breaks down the door and rushes to help Mirabelle. He gets attacked by one of the deer heads on the wall
  • Valerian takes a beating as Mirabelle rushes out of the room
  • Amity starts prepping some defenses by moving some furniture in front of a door. In doing so she moves a statue and hears some grinding noises similar to the ones Valerian heard when moving the staircase
  • Wilfred sternly tells the stuffed heads to "SETTLE DOWN"
  • Valerian kills two more animated deer heads as he rushes out of the room. Outside he closes the door and surveys the scene as he feels rejuvenated by a second wind
  • Amity uses Healing Word to fix up Valerian as she and Wilfred continue to try and move the furniture
  • We are ambushed from behind by a group of cultists? and goblins?
  • Amity says "she likes it hard"
  • Some bullshit happens
  • Wilfred pretend to be knocked out by the sleeping gas
  • Amity resists the gas and is blindfolded the cultists
  • Valerian makes a valiant attempt to escape by running and blinking away from the cultists. He is eventually captured by the infinite hoards of cultist having made it all the way to the first floor. An impressive feat for sure
  • We find ourselves in a jail being watched by a ever present eye
