Dnd Notes 06-05-22 B-Team

  • Ungvar finds some wine, rope and some spoiled rations
  • Infaris takes the statue's battleaxe
    • 2h weapon
    • Magic of some kind, has +1 to hit and damage
    • +2 to hit and damage vs stone monsters
    • does 2x damage on a crit vs stone monster or destroys a 10x10 sq stone
    • limited number of charges, not sure how many
  • We find a leather pouch inside is something "hard and white". It turns out to be a bone scroll case. Unfortunately the contents got burned somehow
  • Infaris bravely heads towards the kitchen as the teams new tank
  • Ungvar heads deeper into the dungeon and finds another broken staircase and a busted marble column
  • He also finds a room containing some rotting shelves, might have been a pantry
  • Jimco rushes in that direction and narrowly avoids a pit fall into the cellar
  • Looking into the cellar Jimco spots something shining below. He crawls down and finds a locked chest with golden inlays
  • Jimco picks the lock and finds a shopping list and a small pouch containing 600gp
  • Infaris enters a room to the north and finds it filled with snakes. She calls out for help while lighting two piles of hay on fire
  • Ungvar finds some plates and 40gp of actual silver silverware and runs towards Infaris. The echo from the walls caused him to hear "steaks" instead of "snakes"
  • Along the way he also finds a pendant, has a gargoyle on it. Both it and the chain are black. Ungvar puts it on immediately
  • Infaris charges forward and tries to kill a snake with her great axe. She discovers a way to NOT hit the snake. A wonderful learning experience
  • We manage to finish off the snake and Jimco roasts its remain on the fire
  • We head to the southern hallway and Jimco hears what sounds like a very large spider
  • We use Puppy as bait to lead the spider into a trap
  • The southern most wall seems different than the others and untouched by time
  • We find another spider munching on a body and use the same strategy again.
  • Ungvar lands a crit and cuts off all the spiders legs with one chop
  • Infaris discovers a hidden door in the southern most wall which leads deeper into the dungeon. She presses on it and they head in
  • Doing so, some of the ceiling collapses onto her
  • Further into the hallway she looks into an antechamber spotting another body of a woman that has rotted away, more black walls and a marble doorway. She seemed to be running away while holding a broken sword and an empty waterskin
  • We head back a bit for a short rest and search a body we missed before. We find a bag of holding that contains a golden dragon buckle
  • Jimco casts Comprehend Languages to read some text on the pendant that Ungvar found and is wearing. Its says "Wear this and be safe". He also casts Identify on it as well and discovers it has a protection charm on it
