Dnd Notes 09-19-21 B-Team [Adam's Notes]

  • As the rest of the group rejoins us, Ungvar and Dave bond over being half-orcs
  • A giant sandworm emerges in the distance. It has a giant scar in the shape of a 'D' that Dave gave it in a previous battle
  • The sandworm seems distracted and repeatedly slams into the ground
  • We decide to approach the sandworm and investigate. Infaris creates a sandstorm to mask our approach
  • As we get near we hide behind a dune and see the worm fighting a small red creature.
  • Seymore identifies it as a "Red Desert Hopper"
  • Dave and Ungvar make a bet on who will be the victor in the fight
  • Both creatures start to dive into the sand, we see this as our opportunity to attempt to ride the sandworm
  • Infaris casts Haste on herself and Pheonix then they both quickly scramble up it and Infaris is able to figure out how to influence the creature's direction by stomping in different spots
  • Dave starts to rage which causes a sandstorm to form around him and he scales the worm with some effort
  • Jimco pulls out some snake meat for a quick snack while watching the others climb the worm.
  • Infaris pulls out a rope attempts to create a makeshift reign as Seymore climbs up to join the group
  • The worm attempts to slam Jimco but he is able to block the attack with a magical barrier
  • Infaris is able to successfully get some amount of control of the worm while the others join her on top of the worm
  • Dave casts chaos bolt and uses tides of chaos much to the dismay of Infaris. He is clearly overstepping his role in the team into her spot. This will not stand
  • We ride off into the sunset through a cactus field. Infaris controlling the powerful creature with the wind blowing through her hair and Pheonix clutching her leg for support.
  • Jimco climbs down to grab some cactus to eat, unfortunately he's not too graceful and gets smacked in the face
  • We ride through the night and come upon a tar field
