  • The Crown of Fire finds a blue potion on the Head Intern.
  • Balricstein recognizes the potion’s smell as a potion of Heroism.
  • Balricstein and Brumwik go down and out of the building to defile Thurl’s body.
  • Billy and Ulligul hang back inside in case anything goes awry.
  • Thurl has another ring on. A DOUBLE RING. MADE OUT OF GOLD.
  • Balricstein takes the ring, and puts it in his bag.
  • Thurl also has A SCROLL OF BEAST BOND and A SCROLL OF SKYWRITE.
  • Ulligul finds a desk, and starts to learn how to skywrite.
  • The rest of the Crown of Fire marches upwards to the next floor.
  • Billy opens the door SWAT team style, and announces the first room is clear.
  • Balricstein gingerly opens another door and sees that that room is empty.
  • Brumwik casually opens the next door, and finds the room is also empty.
  • Brumwik finds an ivory statue of a lady that is maybe associated with a lady?
  • Billy breaks the final door down, revealing an empty room.
  • The Crown of Fire continues to the next floor.
  • Ulligul continues writing.
  • Balricstein enters the first room of the third floor.
  • Billy shoulder-bashes the door next to Balricstein, revealing an empty, although fancy room.
  • Brumwik knocks on the third door. Nobody answers.
  • Brumwik opens the door revealing a super nice room with a chest.
  • Billy defaces the Feathergale tapestry on the wall.
  • Brumwik opens the chest. He finds 420gp.
  • Brumwik finds a smaller box inside the chest with a letter on top of it.
  • THE LETTER talks about the Black Earth cult, and is from a queen of the feathergale knights? Or something? They captured… an already captured noblewoman from Waterdeep.
  • A big ass 12 sided die entrances Brumwik, and he stares deeply into it, and it keeps drawing him in further.
  • He keeps going deeper until an orb of light pulsates toward him
  • Billy questions what the stone is and grabs it, he then is also drawn to darkness
  • Brumwik begins to see infinite possibilities of the world around him.
  • Brumwik gains inspiration and comes back from the darkness.
  • The entirety of the crown of fire gets into their wings suits and flies off the tower away from the sunset toward the Howling Temple.
  • Ulligul skywrites “FUCK THURL” so that it floats above his mangled corpse at the base of the tower.
  • INTERMISSION
  • The Crown of Fire lands amongst the trees just as dusk hits.
  • We hear hippogriffs making chicken noises. As is normal for hippogriffs.
  • Balricstein summons Kevin the Imp to go scout around while invisible.
  • Kevin the imp starts to scout around, while invisible.
  • Balricstein sees through his black eye to see what Kevin the Imp sees.
  • There are two guards.
  • Balricstein casts Crown of Madness on one of the guards, and has him attack the other guard.
  • In the flurry of confusion, Brumwik strikes true with an arrow for each guard.
  • Ulligul pummels one guard with Magic Missile, and the guard dies.
  • Balricstein releases the mental grip on the second guard, and then blasts him with mental energy.
  • Brumwik misses killing the guard, and the guard hides behind one of the vultures.
  • Billy runs up on the guard, jumping over a ray of frost along the way.
  • Balricstein blasts the guard throwing the energy under the bird legs.
  • Ulligul finishes him off with a magic missile.
  • Billy feels the energy force of Ulligul’s magic missile.
  • Brumwik sees that the hippogriff is Narla.
  • Billy feeds one of the vultures some goblin ears.
  • Billy throws a handful over to Ulligul and Balricstein.
  • Brumwik casts talk to animals, and while they talk to eachother, Billy feeds some goblin ears to them. They agree to join us.
  • The Crown of Fire mounts up and takes to the skies, the fourth vulture coming along for the journey.
  • The Crown of Fire lands in a cave.
  • Billy takes first watch.
  • Billy almost falls asleep.
  • Balricstein takes second watch.
  • Balricstein completely falls asleep.
  • Ulligul takes third watch.
  • Ulligul doesn’t notice a large creature approach.
  • A roar awakens everyone.
  • A black bear charges The Crown of Fire.
  • The black bear bites and swipes at Ulligul and Balricstein.
  • Billy disembowels the bear.
  • Back asleep, Balricstein envisions a scepter and flame floating in front of him. He grabs it, and the flame disappears.
  • He is now being worshipped by people?
  • A bunch of crazy bullshit happens?
  • It ends up at the very cave we are staying at…
  • And Balricstein wakes up and hears a voice in his head that says “reward”
